Which brand & colour are you wearing in your picture?
The first black shade that caught my eye by Palette, because they're the cheapest and you can find them anywhere.

How was your hair before you applied the colour (ie pre-bleached, growing out old colour, etc)?
I have naturally medium brown hair and I had blue highlights, so I dyed over that. I have hair extensions in the new photo. They were already dyed.
What is your favourite hair dye brand and what is so great about it?
So far, Prestige, because they are so cheap (euro 1.8), have a great range of colours and the they are wonderful! You can hold it on your hair 5-40 minutes. The first time I used it, my hair was faded green and green pigment is hard to get out of hair. I held it for only 20 minutes and it took all the green out and turned out completely purple. It lasted 5 weeks and then I left the hair dye on for just 15 minutes, because it started to fade to blue and there was no need to hold it longer. PS. The package is big, 100 ml.
Your no.1 advice for dyeing your own hair is:
Whenever your colour is off (for vibrant and pastel colours), but not ready for a re-dye, use Ehoton.
