Which brand & colour are you wearing in your picture?
This pink fade was created by mixing Arctic Fox "purple rain" with a dash of "poison". Most of these pictures are taken after a few washes so the colour has faded already but, GIRL, isn't this still GORGEOUS?!
How does this hair colour make you feel?
I was a redhead for 4 years which was pretty awesome but changing to purple/pink has given me such a BOOST in CONFIDENCE! It's like I finally see my true self in the mirror. (sounds so cheesy) I often forget I have "weird" hair until kids start yelling to their parents "look!!! she's got pink hair! She's a princess!" I'm telling you, that fills your heart with so much joy.
How was your hair before you applied the colour (ie pre-bleached, growing out old colour, etc)?
My hair was bleached by a professional 3 months earlier (heavily because i went in with long red hair and dark roots) and then she coloured it with a mix of purples, pinks and even blues. So there was already a heavily faded purple/pink base to work from.
What is your favourite hair dye brand and what is so great about it?
Arctic Fox: they are vegan & cruelty free, smell amazing and are easy to play with. they are extremely affordable and have such a huge range of vibrant colours and options.
Right after AF is PulpRiot: my hairdresser uses this and those colours are also really vibrant and last long.
Your no.1 advice for dyeing your own hair is:
Mix a bit of your hairdye with your regular conditioner. Use a drop of this mix on toweldry hair and leave it in for 10 minutes, then rince out. This will keep the colour vibrant for a longer time. And protect your hair when using curling irons, straighteners,...
