Which brand & colour are you wearing in your picture?
I am wearing a mix of Manic Panic's Ultra Violet and Mermaid Classic. I had been wanting blue hair for years, but never had the courage up until recently. I dyed it a pastel blue, but it faded so quickly I decided to dye it again, but brighter.
How does this hair colour make you feel?
It makes me feel confident and happy.
How was your hair before you applied the colour (ie pre-bleached, growing out old colour, etc)?
It was bleached and had a faded pastel blue colour on it. It was also grown out a bit, but I decided to leave it.
What is your favourite hair dye brand and what is so great about it?
I have only used one brand so far: Manic Panic. I will probably be sticking to it, because the colours turned out beautifully and my hair is still healthy. Furthermore, I like the fact that it's vegan and cruelty-free.
Your no.1 advice for dyeing your own hair is:
It might be an obvious one, but if dying your hair blue, make sure to wash and condition it with purple shampoo! It keeps your hair from turning green. I also try to only wash my hair twice a week, which makes the colour last a lot longer.
